Cooperative Agriculture Pest Survey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The Delaware Department of Agriculture, Plant Industries Section cooperates with the United States Department of Agriculture, Animal Plant Health Inspection Service, Plant Protection and Quarantine (USDA APHIS PPQ) and the University of Delaware, College of Agricultural Sciences to survey for exotic plant pests and other pests of export significance to help facilitate the export of Delaware\u2019s agricultural products (Title 3 Chapter 11 \u2013 Plant Pest Law). &nbsp;The National Agricultural Pest Information System (NAPIS) database for Delaware is maintained by Plant Industry personnel. &nbsp;Biological programs for invasive noxious weeds, such as purple loosestrife, are being developed and implemented. &nbsp;This program is a cooperative program jointly funded by USDA APHIS PPQ and DDA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Invasive Pest Surveys<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Red imported fire ant, <em>Solenopsis invicta<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emeraldashborer.info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Emerald ash borer, <em>Agrilus planipennis<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/albeetle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Asian long horned beetle, <em>Anoplophora glabripennis<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aphis.usda.gov\/plant_health\/plant_pest_info\/sirex\/index.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European wood wasp, <em>Sirex noctilio<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aphis.usda.gov\/plant_health\/plant_pest_info\/psb\/index.shtml\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"http:\/\/www.aphis.usda.gov\/plant_health\/plant_pest_info\/psb\/index.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pine shoot beetle, <em>Tomicus piniperda<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fs.fed.us\/ne\/morgantown\/4557\/gmoth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gypsy moth, <em>Lymantria dispar<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.na.fs.fed.us\/SOD\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sudden oak death, Phytophthora ramorum<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Potato cyst nematode, <em>Globodera pallida<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aphis.usda.gov\/plant_health\/plant_pest_info\/asian_lhb\/downloads\/wbbb.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Exotic woodborers and bark beetles<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Plant Industries &#8211;
